WP2Social Auto Publish (Facebook Auto Publish) is a free WordPress plugin that sends posts, pages, and selected custom post types to your Facebook pages when WordPress publishes them. You set the message, choose a text update, an image, or a link, and pick the pages. The plugin posts from your site, so each update does not have to be copied into Facebook by hand.
Publish a simple text message, a text message with an image, an attached blog post, or a shared link to the post. Image posts can go to an app album or the timeline album. After you authorize Facebook, choose the pages that should receive the update.
You can publish directly to Facebook without creating your own app. With the paid SMAPSolutions service (free trial available), publishing becomes simple—no need to set up or manage an app yourself.
Write one Facebook message and fill it from the post. Placeholders cover the title, permalink, excerpt, content, blog title, author nicename, author display name, post ID, and publish date. The message is optional when the post is an image or a link.
Turn WordPress posts and pages on or off. Select which custom post types are allowed. Publish every category, or limit auto publish to the categories you check. Title, excerpt, and content filters can be applied to the text that is sent.
The editor box works in the block editor and the classic editor. For new items and for edits, set auto publish to enabled, disabled, or “use metabox settings,” including drafts and scheduled posts. A WordPress scheduled post is sent to Facebook when it goes live.
Send an image with the message, into an album named for your app or into the timeline album. For “share a link” and “attach your blog post,” you can enforce Open Graph tags and clear the Facebook cache before publishing so the preview matches the post.
View the last ten publishing logs, including post ID, title, time, and status, to track your Facebook publishing activity.
Connect using your own Facebook app or the SMAPSolutions app (a 30-day trial is available for first-time users). Reauthorize Facebook when the connection needs a refresh, and enable or disable SSL peer verification if the server reports SSL errors.
